Salzburg
Salzburg is a city in Austria, just across the south-eastern border of
Germany and about a two-hour train ride from
Munich. It has a population of 150,000 and is a popular tourist destination thanks to its extremely well-preserved Baroque city centre. It is famous as the birthplace of Mozart and, slightly less culturally, The Sound of Music film and musical. Its city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
