Rathaus
"Rathaus" is the German word for "Town Hall".The Munich Rathaus is located on Marienplatz, in the center of the old town.
This is where the city mayor, Christian Ude, has his offices.
The Rathaus is also the location of the world famous Glockenspiel.
Located beneath the Rathaus is the Ratskeller - a popular and traditional German beer hall and restaurant. In the Summer the Ratskeller courtyard restaurant opens. This is located within an inner courtyard of the town hall. Quite pleasant.
