Kempten

Kempten is situated approx. 120km south-west of Munich and 40km south of Memmingen Airport.

Kempten is the largest town in Allgäu - a region of Swabia covering the south-west of Bavaria and southeastern Baden-Württemberg.

The town was possibly settled originally by Celts but was later taken over by the Romans, who called the town Cambodunum. Kempten lays claim to the title of oldest urban settlement (town) in Germany.
