Isar

The Isar is the river which flows through Munich. It splits the city almost in two, running from south to north almost through the very center of the city.

The Isar is sourced from the mountainous Alpine region of the Tirol in Austria. It flows north through Bad Tölz, Munich, and Landshut before joining with the Danube near Deggendorf.

One cool thing to do on the Isar is River Rafting. This isn't white-water rafting, but rafting on a traditional wooden raft.
