Freimann
Freimann is a residential district on the north-eastern edge of Munich. It extends from the top of Schwabing, along the side of the English Gardens and up to the very outer limit where the city meets the Bavarian wilderness.One of the attractions of Freimann is it's proximity to the English Gardens.
The Aumeister Beer Garden is very nice in the Summer also.
The property rentals are a little cheaper here than closer to the center. But not by much.
Freimann is convenient if you are commuting to somewhere North, perhaps Freising or Ingolstadt.
