Deutsches Museum

The Deutsches Museum is the most well known and largest museum in Munich. It's focus is science and technology. It is one of the largest museums of this type in the world.

The permanent exhibits cover a floor area of 55,000 square meters. You will most likely not be able to see everything in one visit. It is better to select the particular areas which interest you most.

The Deutsches Museum is located in central Munich. The best route of access is via public transport. Take any of the S-Bahn trains to Isartor and then follow the signposts from there.

The museum is open daily from 9am to 5pm. Entrance is €8.50 for adults.

Note that the Deutsches Museum also has a location in Berlin, as well as Munich. The Munich museum is also spread across two location. The main one is at Museuminel in the center of the city. The second location, the aircraft museum, is at an airfield in Schleissheim.

Adjacent to the museum is a cinema. It's called the Forum am Deutschen Museum.
