Viktualienmarkt Beer Garden - Munich

The Viktualienmarkt Beer Garden is located, not surprisingly, in the Viktualienmarkt. I.e. in the very center of Munich, 3 minutes walk from Marienplatz.

Take a break from shopping. This makes a great location for a lazy afternoon beer in the shade. Watch the busy shoppers browsing the market stalls, and enjoy the aromas generated by all the fresh vegetables and spices on sale.

The garden is open daily from 9am to 10pm in the Summer. In the winter it is open 9am to 6pm when the sun is shining. Closed Sundays and public holidays.

The food at this place is horrible. Tourist trap. A great location to have a beer in one of the nicest locations in Munich. My recommendation: Get some snacks from the Viktualienmarkt stands nearby. That's just my opinion and I could be wrong.

I agree with z-man99 not good if you are looking for great german food, but for a drink its ok.
