Favorite rock songs by a female artist

56 posts in this topic

I'm preparing for the show next month at white trash. Some good old rock n rock. While going through my sound files, I found Heart, Debra Harry, Janis Joplin.

Was wondering what is your favorite rock songs sung by a female singer...

Look forward to your post! :)

I know it's as overplayed as American Pie, but I'll never get sick of Me and Bobby McGee.

Kylie Minogue singing Where the Wild Roses Grow.

Edge of 17 by Stevie Nicks is always a good one and Magic Man by Heart...but I am probably showing my age with these choices

I still can't get past the fact that she looks like a perverted over-sexed 13yo.

In the same vein, go with Bianca Butthole (if just for the name alone).

Mighty fine line that one:-) I do like Juliette and the Licks.

What counts as rock in these parts?

Probably because I've a wee thing for Leigh Matty this one I always loved.

Terri Nunns voice is the sexiest in rock to me. This is probably my favourite song by Berlin.

Berlin - Hideaway

Stevie Nicks is my favourite female vocalist , probably with Nancy Wilson second. Any from those two. They can sing the phonebook for me.

Then there is my dear love Tori Amos. I'd not describe her as rock though.

There´s nothing better than german heavy metal ballads of the 80ies. :)

(I remember how strange it seemed, that she was actually singing some parts in german.)
