Obori café and bakery in Haidhausen

2 posts in this topic

Just wanted to pass on a discovery I just made:

hidden away in a back street in Haidhausen, at Lothringer Str. 15, there's a bakery and café run by some Japanese ladies, but with incredible French bread and cakes. The baguette (thin: 1.70€, thicker: 1.90€) tastes like the real thing and is pointed at both ends. There was also baguette with olives and walnut/raisin bread. They have tarte aux pommes, tarte au chocolat, and little cylinders with mousse au chocolat (2.40€), mango mousse, and funnily enough German cheese cake (2€), all home-made. There are about 7 tables for seating.

Just wanted to write about Obori and saw that you already mentioend it.

jsust +1 from my side. Yes this is definitely the best bakery in town. Try the croissants and definitely the bread with nuts. Don’t be surprised. A small bread can cost 4,50€ but it is so worth it. so from 2008 till now the prices have changed a bit ;-)
