What's got you flummoxed today?

7,706 posts in this topic

a day to late but i needed the time

@dessa_dangerous yesterday evening, on the TV, riots in berlin

ohhhhhhhh

now it all makes sense

I simply forgot -

Revolutionäre 1. Mai Demo

after 30+ years in xberg/neukoelln

the stone number

the boom boom

the 5+ combat dressed police

rushing through my flat

the big guy in uniform talking to me

me boiling

I understood no word

control, ooch stay cool

boiling

my fists -  relax ooch

and later you -  mentioning the helicopters

triggered nothing

leaving me with a frown

I did a monster monster kitchen cleaning action

that day ....

before

no riots on my mind

now I'm not relaxed

try to control myself

still boiling

I'm upset

that feeling sucks

but after all I'm flummoxed

and in 3 days or 4 I will smile

I am flummoxed that it would take a month and a sworn oath about your eligibility (for which I would have to lie because somebody failed to even mention 55 to 59 year-olds in their list of criteria - usual crappy, untested French government website design) to get an appointment for a vaccination in a dedicated "vaccinodrome" - but that you are in by Friday if you ring the pharmacy in the next village. ;)

On an aside, I am equally flummoxed that hubby makes a point of telling me "where he is going" when he goes out. It is surely only partial truth. Why does he bother? I guess he must think I believe him still.

*hand in the air*

I know this one. It's because we teach people how to treat us.

You're welcome.

Hi Fruity, I retained that wisdom from you before already. But confrontation will bring no light. There are never any answers so I am beyond asking.

OK. It is something that I must remind myself when things start going wonky around here. I stand back and ask myself where my accountability lies in whatever problem. I can only change my own actions/reactions.

I empathize only too well with the frustration of feeling your intelligence is being insulted, but consider the alternative.  Even if you know, or have an idea, is it really a conversation you want to have?  On his way out the door, no less?  I think we've read from you that dramatically changing your situation is not an option, or not a palatable option.  He tells you his little lie, you pretend to believe it, and nobody has to move out...

Yes, but gently saying "Bullshit" every time he does this will get the point across.

I will practice the Call  girl (must get some new glasses) manual stuff. Not sure how it translates into French. Always thought faking it led straight to the asylum. Maybe that has been my mistake. Very flummoxing indeed.

And I've never even ordered Turkish Delight from Amazon, much less anything Erdogan-related.

Well - someone may have...

Check your browser history.

Check your amazon-emails. #lostpassword

Check your payments (bank).

Change your passwords.

Create new accounts for amazon (amazon itself and related accounts like email, payment etc.)

Ask amazon.

Ask anyone with physical access to your computer.

Oh - and check the information your social media got! #whatsapp - new permissions

Just from the top of my head...

Are you guys thinking what I am thinking?

That Erdogan sneaked into El Jeffo's  house and did some sneaky googling!

It can be the only solution!

Or, and I know this is a long shot, Amazon know El Jeffo lives in Germany from his IP address and they also know that quite a lot of them Turkish people live here, too.

Maybe Amazon are simply showing him all the Play Station 5 options based on the data they have.

Actually, I am surprised they didn't show him the PS5 woke edition, lol!

Anyways, case dismissed!

Next please.

I was really trying to point out how poorly Amazon's "recommendations" algorithm is working, but I see I've attracted suggestions by people trying to help and a post (unread) by someone I thought we'd long seen the back of. Serves me right for posting on the Flummoxed thread, I guess.

More's the pity. Viva la Freitag!

My computer is on my desk at home and only I use it. Unless I'm being visited by Turkish fairies in the middle of the night.

Check the other part of my reply.

Oh - I forgot to suggest to check your phone, too.

And double-flummoxed as to why you've deleted your post, now!

Good skills, Sannerl!

Yes, check your phone for the Erdogan fairy, Jeff.
