Doctor Who (TV series)

I think she'll be great. There seem to be loads of critics that a woman is the new Doctor but why not? I can only remember her from her short but very funny part as Beverly in St Trinians 'she doesn't look like she's got a pot in which to pi*s' line.  And Broadchurch in a very serious role.

I think she's a better choice than Phoebe Waller-Bridge though the speculated Kris Marshall or Olivia Colman would have been brilliant.

My favouites so far were Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant...especially with Catherine Tate as assistant.

The BBC missed a great opportunity this week.

If only they had cast a non white female lesbian actress as the new doctor and committed to keeping the same flirtatious relationship with the females assistant, they could have wiped 90% of the Mail, Sun and Express readerships.

We had the chance to lose Katie Hopkins to an brain aneurysm - and they blew it.

Still, they are still getting a lot of free publicity.
