... well, I still find crocs butt-ugly. does anyone still wear crocs

... I also think they are hideous, and used to say "over my dead body will I wear those things". ...If you had told me three years ago that I would be praising crocs, I would have fallen on the floor laughing!!

I now own two pairs of Crocs! They are so popular here in Singapore, but that's not why I bought them. It rains here every afternoon and inevitably, I get caught out in it. My cheapo flip-flips are good for walking up to the pool and back, but that's it (can't be in them all day). When my reef flip flops get wet my foot slides in the flip-flop and I've lost them a few times too many (and when you're carrying a baby, this is not good). My leather sandals get soaked. Then I saw some women wearing ballerina-style Crocs and I thought "how practical".

I found a Crocs shop while I was in Jakarta last weekend and bought a pretty boring (brown) pair and these cute (black) sandals. Yes, there are some ugly ones, still, and some of the colors just do not transfer well, but I am super-dooper happy. Until I find an alternative, these will be my go-to shoes from here on out.

But what if you were going to fly? I mean is easier to pass all the security checkpoints and inside the airplane it's easier to just take them off. Also they are better than slippers... as long as you are on the airport, don't you think?

I bloody hate them and I made the mistake of buying a pair of them in promotion and I found out they are super comfortable, specially for garden work. Now I am seriously scared of trying a pair of Uggs and liking them, they are the only thing I hate more than Crocs.

That's where it starts. Soon you'll own a whole shoe rack full of them and have to start explaining yourself to the neighbours.

I love them for slipping on to my feet quickly to go to the postbox or the car or take out the compost. I'd never wear them away from home,

I took a pair to Guyana in October to wear in the house, but it was impossible. Me feet felt hot and sweaty the whole time so I bought some classic flip-flops instead.

Helllllllllllll no I don't. Those are right up there with Uggs when it comes to horribly ugly footwear.
