I didn't start enjoying cigarettes till I moved here. It seems like everyone my age smokes here.

Might be a difference between the west and the east but hardly any of my friends my age smoke (I can actually only think of one) and we are about the same age. I do think that a lot of times non-smokers end up befriending non-smokers and smokers befriend smokers which might be why you get that impression if you have three roomies who smoke.

the health benefits of cigarettes are actually quite encouraging but the anti smoking lobby dont like to publicise it.

So it seems smokers are less likely to be hospitalized, but if they are their outcomes are worse.
