That ticket is valid until 3:00 AM the next day (I'm certain you know); there's a suitable train at 22:50 from Munich Central Station according to https://www.bayern-fahrplan.de/de/auskunft - NJ 420 to Amsterdam...

 

But you're right; better save than sorry.
