Travel to Saudi Arabia

While my jaw dropped last night reading that, I actually thought how downright dangerous the roads really are. 50,000 deaths a year there. Car wrecks left on the side of the road to teach others. Women driving must of course keep their burkas on so will not have peripheral vision. Driving through red lights is the norm. 

 

This is PR attempting to gain support for the more important even to come, the privatising of Saudi Arabia. That has been put back by a year.

Well also Saudi Arabia is belatedly realizing that oil is not a long-term sustainable prospect, one way or another, and is seeking to make women's employment easier as an economic stopgap.
