Minorly unhappy: My former co-worker had to cancel lunch due to a mosquito bite on her shin. Sounds silly, I know, but it has swollen up to an immense size and now requires R-I-C-E.

I'm unhappy to have to say goodbye again and to already be thinking about how to accumulate frequent flier miles and vacation time for another trip here.

It seems like so many people around me are going through something medically serious at the moment. My cousin is going through chemo and not doing very well at all. It seems like as time goes by they find more and more serious medical issues. My stepfather just had a doctor's appointment a few days ago and they found a bunch of cysts in his intestine. Now I just read that one of my favorite professors from grad school blacked out the other day and after a CT-scan they found a tumor which is encroaching on his brain.

I am not happy with my job but due to lack of german proficiency, I accepted a job which I would never have done back in my home country. I was working in a private bank in my home town which was more interesting and challenging but here I am holding a front desk job. How boring!! On the other hand, I know how hard it is for others to get a job in Germany. I know I should consider myself lucky and be happy but everyday I have to do those boring tasks... and my motivation (if any left) just go downhill immediately.... <_<
