If those are the dudes in SA I watched it earlier and it really was grand.

I think we met some of their ancestors on a long-ago trip :)

George Galloway on the new SNP leader. He cracks me up every time with his directness.

Peter Principle??

The irrepressible George Galloway before the US  Senate. He has such a way with words.

Alongsidr Tony Benn as my favourite British political orators in my lifetime.

You really go with all his stuff John?  That Kuwait was actually part of Iraq, justifying the invasion, and saying the subsquent slaying of Kurds and Shia was justified?   His praise of Saddam Hussein?   After meeting him he said "  "Sir, I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability ... I can honestly tell you that there was not a single person to whom I told I was coming to Iraq and hoping to meet with yourself who did not wish me to convey their heartfelt, fraternal greetings and support."

I understand that the situation was complicated, but George Galloway was a huge shit about it.  He is no fucking angel.  And Mosely was a much better more inspirational speaker.  And turned into a right shit too.

No, I just like his passion when he talks. I reckon he was just playing the game when he met Saddam.

How do you talk to a dictator when you really don't like him but have other , wider wishes?

But I could be wrong.

And I have definitely moved away from my younger Far Left stance.

Put me somewhere in the middle these days- whatever that means.

I understand that.  But really, listen to early Mosely.  He was fantastic.  Could do it off the cuff.  Many politicians have used his early Keynsian stuff (John Major).  But GG was no Mosley.  And even Mosely went crazy rogue, madly antisemitic and silly uniform stuff.    GG was never as good, feeble in comparison, and now much diminished and well into all sorts of quite sordid conspiracy stuff.  But both of them, for sure in their prime could bang out some rousing speeches.

Snooker World Championship final in Sheffield between Mark Selby and Luca Brecel, who beat Si in the semi-final 17-15 after being behind 5-14. Amazing stuff.
