Hi there,

My name is Mina, I'm new to this forum (well, I joined ages ago but didn't use it till now!)

I came to find this site as I have a specific question about Berlin. I'm not entirely sure I'm understanding how the discussion forums work, so I apologise if this is not the right section for it.

Here goes. I'm searching for places in Berlin where one can buy meat products that come from "ethical farming".

Berlin seems so much the kind of place that is into it, so I'm sure there must be a few. Unfortunately, when I enter the terms in online searches, I get all kinds of philosophical essays but no store directories, so I thought I might ask here.

Any info is appreciated - Thanks!!

Mi

Hi everyone,

I'm Chris. I moved here in December with my wife, both of us having previously lived in Dallas in the US (though from the east coast). We look forward to participating in Thursday night drinks and meeting some new friends here in Berlin!

We live in Charlottenburg and both moved here for our jobs, and are trying to learn German as fast as we can!

Hi Guys

I moved to Berlin From N.Ireland to be with my Boyfriend but unfortunately due to work we left after just three months, his work involves travelling with meant i couldn't find something for myself, so i have decided to come back this weekend and stay on long term, I am a hair stylist and barber, I would love to get a job straight away but my lack of german is proving it very difficult, i have been teaching myself but because i have had no interaction with german people for the last 8 months its not 'sticking' so I would love to meet with fellow newbies to get some tips, make some friends and see what Berlin is all about. Oh and If anyone needs their hair done id love to do it, Ive had pretty good training and my clients were always happy :)

I will have a look at the events coming up and try to figure out how to get to the places and hope to meet some of you. anyone who would like to keep in touch with me please do as I'm not 100% sure how to use this site yet. thanks for taking a few minutes to read my comment.

Hi Everyone! My name is Kristin. I'm 32, married with one son and a beagle. I have an interview for a job in Berlin. I am American living in Minnesota. Does anyone have any etiquette advice, or anything I should know about or do to help myself in the interview? Also, I have a son entering 8th grade in the fall and speaks only English. What are my school options? Specific schools and prices? My job would be in Friedrichshain neighborhood.

Greetings kind people of the internet!

I'm Martin, 26 years old - UI/UX designer, front-end developer, guitar player and a few other things. Kind of like 'jack of all trades' master of some. I've been in Berlin since 3 months. I came initially to seek a seed round for a startup idea I have, but ended up accepting a full-time position at a relatively mature startup based here in Berlin. I love the culture, the atmosphere and all the cultural diversity.

Other than my workmates, I don't have many people to hang out with and unwind, so it'll be awesome to meet some new friends here, share a beer, a concert or a long walk. I can offer you unlimited hours of conversing about all sorts of nerdy topics :D

Cheers!

Heyy!!!

I am Stefan, 21, Berliner!

Since February I am back from my Erasmus semester in Amsterdam. I start missing the international spirit, talking English, getting to know new people from all around the world, hearing their life stories.

So I am looking forward to get to know you?! Chatting, chilling in a park, walking through the streats, enjoying a beer, going on an adventure.. ;)

Another Brit (scot)relatively new here in Berlin looking to hook up/meet new people of others here in the same situation. I created a bit of profile for those to see if they want to know a bit more about me but generally i am a but of a libertine chameleon that loves random and spontaneous but at the same time i love TV film and cooking good food wine etc. I have set up here with pretty much all British tv as i cant live without it and have access to all sky sports too and am most excited about the boxing match of the century coming up soon :)

Anyway, if there are any cool people with a bit of randomness out there get in touch say hello as i am going a bit stir crazy finding stimulation from others humans i can connect with properly.

Oh one last thing, i m a but of a quiz show geek and would love to know if there is any english quiz nights in this city.

Hello, I'm new at this so excuse me if I posted in the wrong spot. I actually live in the US, however my daughter is currently living in Berlin. I had come across this site multiple times after searching "shipping items to Germany",and other questions I had. I always found an answer here! I would like to learn about the Universities in and around Berlin. My daughter has been in Berlin for almost a year now with her program. She is set to return home in a few months, but has decided she would like to return to Germany and attend school. She graduated last May from High School in the US. She currently speaks at a C-1 level. I have been doing some research on Universities in and around Berlin. My main concern is that the school is accredited, and her education will be recognized when she returns to America. Does anyone have any experience with this, and could offer any suggestions? She would major in International Business. Also, are some Universities considered better than others?

Just got here 1 week ago from the US. I am an Argentine Tango teacher, performer, and Restorative Exercise specialist seeing if Berlin will be my new home!

Learning German is quite a slow process and even though I speak 2 other languages - these do not help me!

I was in Mauerpark this weekend and saw the following: "Life is too short to learn German' and I laughed out loud. But i really do want to communicate and get over my shyness to make an effort!

Tchüss for now.
