Also check what is on the the Schauberg. Sometimes they show OV or OmU films.

Unfortunately not, but the Filmnächte (Open Air Cinema) in summer on the banks of the Elbe are great. There´s a Cinemaxx and the "Rundkino" in the town centre, try your luck there.

There is an early sneak at UCI every second Friday of the month, Cinemaxx shows movies in English, Ufa and UCI during the week as well. Check out their websites!

Malikos, did you ever find the cinema you were looking for? I had a couple mentioned to me, where films are sometimes shown in the original language. We ought to make a page with that sort of thing listed, to find again.

Hi there,

Are there any cinemas now which show films in their original language regularly (preferably with air conditioning :)? Looks like this hasn't been discussed since 2006...

Cheers

I was wondering (new to Dresden) if anyone knows about the rerelease of Avatar in 3D in Dresden. Anywhere to see this movie locally..and while we're on the topic, where are regular movies in English here in Dresden?

thanks!

Take a look on kino.de (or the site above) - look out for OV and OmU after the name (sorry if that's obvious). There are fairly regular showings at the ElbePark, but usually on Tuesday nights or something, and the Programmkino Ost shows artier ones often, though the original language isn't always English, so you can't say it's regular.

You might find one or two films on in English every week, if you're lucky; if you want a constant supply of decent English films you can always get the train to Berlin <_<
