Finally ,met up with Tor in Hamburg this lunchtime...it had been a while! There are people who are SO easy to get on with and even after a lengthy absence...as though nothing had changed. Of course, things HAVE changed. After I had looked at him, he admitted the baby is due in June. But he is working on it and refused to drink my third beer on the pretence that he had to teach or something this afternoon. 

.

( secret). The barman didn't accept my EC Karte! I had to pay cash. It was close...ended up rummaging around for coins and asking him to check for me what was in my pockets. My eyes are not the best.. shucks, my man Tor had been there. A truly lovely man. There are people you can meet every year, every two years, every twenty years or.. never again. It hasn't been Covid- had a test the other day. But two weeks of drowsiness, no appetite, coughing and blocked up nose - receding ( Just like in Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd ) .

Today, I feel pretty fit again. Thank you hot lemon juice , paracetomol and the glorious Hamburg weather!😂

( Still can't see well, though😂😟) but grateful for small mercies...

I've just finished my first complete week at work in a year.

 

Back story: Knee/thigh pain. Diagnosed as arthritis of the hip. Hip replacement, rehab, Irene program (which I worked so fucking hard on). Good leg days/bad leg days. Odd days off work. And just as it was feeling really good...

 

Boom! Toothache becomes major dental surgery and more time off work.

 

I've just completed a full week at work.

 

Tired, yes. Happy, yes.
