Got filmed this morning by a télévision crew :)... spent, all day in a beautiful valley puffing into the alphorns, 5 star picnic behind the chapel. As we were leaving one of the natives brought us chilled fizzy, crystal glasses and mumfies. So we stayed a bit longer.

A big football match tomorrow, I do not care who wins, because I am a member of the Buntes-Republik AND of Brexitium, "my girls" will win, whatever the result

Morning, fraufruit! There are people coming to look at the house in the next few weeks! It is not yet sold.

I came back early for my op and to sort out some business stuff!

The plan is I fly back as soon as the docs allow it and we fly back here together early October!

That does not make me happy at all. I used to really like Laurence Fox; good actor. Saw him in  "Foyle's War", for instance, where he played a British nazi during WWII. Maybe he went too Stanislavski and didn't find his way back again.

I agree, @Elljay, that Fox is a good actor. But he can't be very smart if he thinks he can get away with the 'I was born this way' defense. Everyone knows better than that now. Ultimately, we choose to remain the way we have become or we make a change. I don't think Fox has chosen wisely.

Sad, angry and happy. Sad and angry that in our area, there’s a forest fire starter. Almost daily, the voluntary fire brigade attends fires. Often requiring assistance from other fire brigades. Police helicopter usually present searching for the culprit.

Happy that there have been no fires over the last few days. Happy too that on my birthday next week, the forecast is 21 degrees with 95% chance of heavy rain. That’ll be a treat to not live like a cave dweller for a day with all rollladen shut and for the forest to get a good drenching. Poor animals. We can only do our little bit with several water bowls all over our garden.

Bcuz it's been raining like cats and dogs since last night!  It sounds beautiful and it's nourishing everything.  😊 🙏
