Why are you happy today?

Because there is a hospital-bed in the corner of my living room and my wife is in it at home. Talking to her mother on the phone having just eaten some soup that I made for her.

She looks so thin and tiny but if I close my eyes and listen she is clearly so happy to be home.

I think I'm gonna take the day of work tomorrow and just stare at her for the day :-)

Stare at her, kiss her often and I hope your wife understands how much you love her. Virtual hugs ohne Ende, babe.

I have a wonderful young neighbour who loves his and my dogs!

When I'm in the office, I sometimes take his baby in for a few hours- and it's repicropal and vice versa! Baby alert!'

I am so happy with how my citizenship application went! My case worker was so lovely, processing everything before I was eligible, and in doing so ensuring that I got my citizenship less than 2 months after I fulfilled all requirements!

I have my first ID and passport and so happy to have the same citizenship as my husband and my baby boy!

Just such an overwhelmingly positive experience!

This-

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer will retire, multiple news outlets reported Wednesday.

The exact timing of his retirement was not immediately clear. Both NBC and CNN reported that Breyer will step down at the end of this term in June.

The 83-year-old is the oldest member of the high court, and a leading liberal justice. Conservatives currently hold a 6-3 majority.

Breyer was nominated by President Bill Clinton in 1994. His retirement will give President Biden an opportunity to appoint a successor to replace him on the bench.

Also, I got out of the house today. We drove to Garmish and had a nice walk and a late lunch. The sunshine on the diamond sprinkled snow was so beautiful.

I have now declared Wednesdays as Ausflugstag.

I've had a very, very difficult January, which is a story for another thread.

So I decided to treat myself.

I'm still a punk child within, which means raw strength, love of life, and being my own gal to me.

So I bought myself a pair of Doc Martens boots - covered in metal studs! I love them! They even are comfortable!! Yay! \o/

That's very true - which is why I was flummoxed they were pretty good straight out of the box! :D

Oh, now I know - the boots are lined because of all the studs... else the metal bits would be rubbing on the inside. Well, well, well... I'll take the comfort. I am an old punk, after all.

Don't even have to wait 10 years.  I'm still in covid mode wearing crocs, sweatpants and a fleece sweater most of the time :D

And punks.

And later fashion models, ladettes, Jean Paul Gaultier...

Listening to Schlaegerparadies Radio, honest popular music with beat and emotions, a good alternative to Staatsfunk😉
