What are you listening to right now?

Sounds as glorious as it did when I was a child. I must have been 7 or 8 when I found it in my dad's record collection, for some reason I was alone in the house (or my dad was asleep upstairs after a night-shift),  It was an oddity for our house, and not like any of the other records. I sat and listened in complete awe to something unlike anything I had ever heard before. I didn't understand a lot of it, but it felt grown-up and strange to me. The sax solo on "Us and Them" was probably the first time that music on it's own made me cry. I've like Floyd ever since, and this will always be one of my most cherished musical memories.

Such a shame that Morrissey turned out to be such a cockwomble, but this is still a fantastic song.

CPGB v Morrisey Twitter was funny this week. I need these unplifting moments.

I follow a KW twitter account.  Interesting, funny, and of course ultimatetly gloomy.

@john g. Astral Weeks has to be one of the finest albums ever made, is there anything better than being slightly drunk on the banks of a river in the summer with someone you love and listening to that album.

Couldn't agree more, pappnase❤️❤️👍👍

You know me- I always have a story😂.

With a German girlfriend on the banks of the Thames about 30 years ago, glorious weather, her first time in London. In Richmond and I had had a pint or two. And then I ordered another beer ,for my girlfriend , took it out to the grass and saw a woman.. " Schatzi, ein englisches Bier für Dich."

Her boyfriend heard me and said " lovely language but your girlfriend is over there ( pointing!)

😂
