What are you listening to right now?

The village near us is hosting an 80s and 90s party at the village hall. I thought we should go, for once, as we never go but then came the coronavirus and we had an excuse not to go (again). Today I got in our clothes cupboard and put together an 80s outfit for me and one for my man. We dressed up and played DJ for each other. Sat on the sofa and played songs back and forth. We got up and danced a bit too. It was a fun way to hear what his music taste was in days I never knew he existed. My favorite song, full of memories from the 80s

Genesis 'Follow You Follow Me'

They played that at my first ever rock concert - Knebworth 1978

After many hours of listening through fairly mediocre music,

Genesis appeared on stage.

I was both taken by surprise and smitten.

Whenever I hear Genesis on the radio it always reminds me of Annie Nightingale's Sunday request show on the Beeb

And think of all the great things we would do
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose

From Joan to John, Two of Our Greatest Poets and Singer Songwriters

John is on a ventilator now.  I saw him in concert in KC in 2011.  Amazing man.
