just got this one on an email...

The lyrics to the song to be sung in the tune of "You're Beautiful" by

James Blunt.

My job is stupid,

My day's a bore,

Inside this office,

From 8 to 4.

Nothing ever happens,

My life is pretty blank,

Pretending that I am working,

Pray I don't get canned.

My cubicle, my cubicle,

It's 1 of 62,

It's my small space,

In a crowded place,

Just a six by six board booth,

And I hate it, that's the truth.

When I give a sigh,

As the boss walks by,

No one ever talks to me,

Or looks me in the eye,

And I really should work,

But instead I just sit here,

And surf the internet.

And my cubicle, my cubicle,

It doesn't have a view,

It's my small space,

In a crowded place,

I sit inside there too,

And sometimes I sit here nude.

make it stop: sweeeeeeeeet caroline, dah dah dum...

Where it began, I can't begin to know when

But then I know it's growing strong

Oh, wasn't the spring, whooo

And spring became the summer

Who'd believe you'd come along

Hands, touching hands, reaching out

Touching me, touching you

Oh, sweet Caroline

Good times never seem so good

I've been inclined to believe it never would

And now I, I look at the night, whooo

And it don't seem so lonely

We fill it up with only two, oh

And when I hurt

Hurting runs off my shoulder

How can I hurt when holding you

Oh, one, touching one, reaching out

Touching me, touching you

Oh, sweet Caroline

Good times never seem so good

Oh I've been inclined to believe it never would

Ohhh, sweet Caroline

@jml

If you are going to have a Neil Diamond earworm my cat loving friend, at least go for one thats a little less well known.

"Money talks

but it don't sing and dance

and it don't walk..."

Maybe that will flush out Sweet Caroline.

Sweet Caroline. Ouch! Maybe one of these suggestions might help...

Around three weeks ago my little mind DJ had the following song on continuous repeat:

Eisgekühlte Bommerlunder - Die Toten Hosen

I have no idea why, needless to say it was extremely annoying.

A week after that it was replaced by:

Una festa sui prati - Adriano Celentano

(Someone I know has this as their mobile phone ringtone, it pops up from time to time on my Ohrwurm playlist).

And as of about half an hour ago I've been stuck with the BeeGees theme to Saturday Night Fever (I think there was a picture of John Travolta posted in the 'No dancing on Good Friday thread'). Super.

At least one of these has to be more irritating and contagious than Sweet Caroline.

Do the Shake 'n Vac, and put the freshness back

Do the Shake 'n Vac and put the freshness back

When your carpet smells fresh, your room does too

Every time you vacuum, remember what to do

Do the Shake 'n Vac and put the freshness back.

One annoying song that will stick to your head and annoy the hell out of you. This guy sounds like the Swedish chef from the Muppet Show. (Well okay this guy is Swedish too)

The construction workers down below are listening to c'mon Eileen. I know im going to be stuck with it all day. Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye...Bastards. Freaking Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye.

Sounded sad upon the radio, he moved a million hearts in mono.

Our mothers cried and sang along and who'd blame them.

Now you're grown, so grown, now I must say more than ever.

Go Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye

and we can sing just like our fathers.

Come on Eileen,

I swear (well he means) At this moment you mean everything,

With you in that dress my thoughts I confess verge on dirty

Ah come on Eileen.

These people round here wear beaten down eyes

Sunk in smoke dried faces they're so resigned to what their fate is,

But not us, no not us we are far too young and clever.

Remember Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye

Eileen I'll hum this tune forever.

Come on Eileen, I swear, well he means

Ah come on let's take off everything,

That pretty red dress Eileen (Tell him yes)

Ah come on let's, ah come on Eileen, please.

For the past 3 days now I've had the theme tune from 80 Days Around the World with Willy Fogg stuck in my head!

Fogg, I'm the one who made the bet and I know we'll be exactly right on time

Fogg is my name and I could play with my life in many ways - that's what they say

Here I am Rigadon, I’m-a Tico - d'mascota

It’s my turn - the gentle touch of Romy - they love me so much

Hey now the story must go on ‘cause a lot of time has gone we must be ready to go away

CHORUS:

80 days around the world

We'll find a pot of gold just sitting where the rainbow's ending

Time - we'll fight against the time

And we'll fly on the white wings of the wind

80 days around the world

No we won't say a word before the ship is really back

Round, round, all around the world

Round, all around the world, round, all around the world, round, all around the world,

Look there's a lion over there

Let’s forget about our fears, we must be ready.

You Rigadon you have to save Romy's life as soon as daylight will arrive.

Tiko can bring us some luck we'll find around the world,

Romy now, that you’re with us you'll be the angel of the team.

Hey now they story must go on ‘cause a lot of time has gone, we must be ready to go away.

CHORUS

Fogg, I'm the one who made the bet and I know we'll be exactly right on time

Fogg is my name and I could play with my life in many ways - that's what they say

Here I am Rigadon, I’m-a Tico - d'mascota

It’s my turn - the gentle touch of Romy - they love me so much

Hey now the story must go on ‘cause a lot of time has gone we must be ready to go away

CHORUS

Look there's a lion over there

Let’s forget about our fears, we must be ready.

You Rigadon you have to save Romy's life as soon as daylight will arrive.

Tiko can bring us some luck we'll find around the world,

Romy now, that you’re with us you'll be the angel of the team.

Hey now they story must go on ‘cause a lot of time has gone,

We must be ready to go away

CHORUS

This will not leave my head:

Fire And Rain

(James Taylor)

Just yesterday mornin' they let me know you were gone

Suzanne the plans they made put an end to you

I walked out this mornin' and I wrote down this song

I just can't remember who to send it to

I've seen fire and I've seen rain

I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end

I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend

But I always thought that I'd see you again

Won't you look down upon me Jesus

You've gotta help me make a stand

You just got to see me through another day

My body's aching and my time is at hand

I won't make it any other way

I've seen fire and I've seen rain

I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end

I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend

But I always thought that I'd see you again

I've been walking my mind to an easy time

My back turned toward the sun

Lord knows when the cold wind blows

It'll turn your head around

Well there's hours of time on the telephone line

To talk about things to come

Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

I've seen fire and I've seen rain

I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end

I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend

But I always thought that I'd see you again

Thought I'd see you one more time again ...
