Aldi Nord are doing tins of Quality Streets

Doing me shopping this morning, and was greeted at my local Aldi by a whole pallet of QUALITY STREETS!

 

400 gr. tins for 2,99 Euros!

Nah...this is the English Version...that one must have been made especially for the german market :P

They do quality Street a couple of times a year in Aldi. Only problem is, the tin is too small (500g) . I like the 5kg tins that you get in the UK at Christmas.

Cheers mate I would never have worked it out without ya!! However they taste better when someone else (my Mum) pays for them at Christmas :P

Tell me about it!! they really do taste different - this year my mum bought me a 5kg tin which lasted thru til february!! And i always use the tins afterwards to keep various crap in!! :D

Well the pic on the Aldi tins, is the pic that I remember as a kid in the UK!

I was thinking that same thing too!

 

I do not have very many memories of my Grandad before he was confined to bed but one of them is him hovering over the tin at Christmas looking for one of the green triangle ones to give for me as the others all had toffee in them.

Brits seem to have a crush for all kind of toffees. I personally only like the ones with loads of choco on the outside such as "Riesen" or similar copies
