Slightly different topic. I might have to request a new version of my Portuguese driving license. Alternatively, can I request a German one?

You do not have to change an EU license within Europe. I got caught out having a German l license with I thought I could keep as long as I am in EU. But the EU has changed the rules, the EU has a new rule, which says you have to get new photo ID every 10 years. There is a table on the internet telling you when your license will become non valid.
