From the end of August, Ludwigsburg will once again be the pumpkin capital. And this year, visitors will literally be on fire for the world's largest pumpkin exhibition in the Blühende Barock. Artistic pumpkin figures around the theme of "fire" will be lovingly designed and staged. Fred Flintstone, the Pokémon Glumanda, Fireman Sam and of course Jim Knopf with his steam engine will all be in the Blossoming Baroque and will certainly be a popular photo motif. A total of 450,000 pumpkins will be on display and more than 600 varieties of the popular autumn fruit, such as colourful ornamental pumpkins or glowing carved pumpkins, will be on display.

How to get there:
S-Bahn: Take either the S1, S2 or S3 SBahn services or respectively the R1, R2, R3 or R8 trains to Bad Cannstatt station. Follow the signposts, the festival site is a 10-minute walk away.
Tram: Take the U11 to Cannster Wasen. Suitable for disabled people as there are no steps.
Tram numbers U1, U2, U3, and U19 to Mercedesstrasse and walk down the steps to the fairground.
