Major dog issues and next steps.

Good evening.

I am seeking the best way to find a new home for a young dog, about 10 months old. Overall, she is a well bred and friendly animal, however she has lived up to her breed standard of food fussiness to a fault. Please consider I have taken steps as extreme as feeding her twice a day for months from the time I brought her home to make sure she grew up well, and recently she has begun acting in a manner detrimental to her health, i.e. fussiness to the point of losing weight, with the same level of care.

Needless to say, I am burnt out and would like to make plans to rehouse her with a family or a person familiar with the breed of Yorkie. Possibly this refresh might help her become a normal dog of eating food given to her.

What organization near Karlsruhe would you recommend to guide the rehousing process?

Thank you.

So the puppy is no longer a sweet playful puppy but a growing dog and no longer interesting to your family.

Didn't you know that happens? Puppies turn into dogs.

I thought Yorkies pups needed much more frequent feeding than that, or they can get sick.  Like 4 times a day?   And even adult ones need 3.

We have two Yorkies - out of the same litter.  We had previously had a Yorkie out of the Hamburg Tierheim.

The pups came to us at 11 weeks old - they will be 2 years old this month.

The first-born (Alfons) was forecast to be large for a Yorkie & he is now just over 5 kgs.  He loves his food - epscially cheese - & will devour a serving of fresh meat in seconds.

The second-born (Joker) is smaller & extremely fussy about food & will almost only look at fresh meat if it is thrown to him well cut-up.

Neither of them eat tinned food.

Both are good for loooong walks & defend the garden area.  They HATE the postman (who does not have to enter the property).

I carry a ziploc bag of treats for homeless people with dogs. I also usually snag the hotel room sewing kits, etc, and bag them up too.
