When did you order it? I suspect a lot of people have ordered, so it might take a while.

 

The fdp wanted it to be "smartphone only".😕

 

I have not ordered mine, the buerocracy has defeated me so far.

I still have no sign of my digital (handy) ticket yet and also no direct debit. I am resigned to reapplying for it on the 2nd of May and if I do get double billed I will ask the bank to cancel one of the Lastschrifts!

In Berlin when you have a normal traditional paper abo (pre- Deutschland Ticket era), it was normal to receive your ticket for the next month around the 29th.

 

After saying that, it seems they will not manage to make all those chip cards in time due to the high demand (who could have expected such demand? ... pregnant woman is surprised a baby popped out).   So some cities are issuing provisionary (Fiktion?) tickets, or stickers to put on top of whatever other card you had before.  For example:

Which ticket did you buy through BVG:  an actual paper/card ticket that will be mailed to your address? or an electronic ticket that shows up in the BVG app?

Thanks for the additional information.  I've got a friend travelling to Berlin in June and am going to try to purchase the electronic version under the BVG app of the 49 Euro ticket for them.  I'll post the results once they are set up.  

 

In the past I've bought a monthly BVG ticket under the app for when I arrive in Berlin.  The ticket would show up under the app, but not be active until the date I specified when I purchased the ticket.  Thanks.

In the past when I've purchased a monthly BVG ticket (not the subscription version), I've used my credit card.  I was charged when I made the purchase, eventhough the ticket wasn't valid until a couple days later.  

 

I haven't used direct debit to purchase a ticket through the BVG app.  The June D-ticket will be the first direct debit purchase through the BVG app.  I hope to do that this weekend and will post back.

Today is Sunday and still no card. Tomorrow is the 1st May which is a public holiday . So no post.  So the card has to come on the 2nd May or I must consider alternatives such as the book of 4 tickets.

Yes, same with me, so still nervous that I might get double billed due to the first order that was never confirmed!
