Unfortunately in Germany, your mouth WILL get you in a heap of trouble. There is no such thing as free speech, and yes, the police DO bother with it. You can ask a previous flatmate of mine who paid €1200 for calling a policewoman a "German cow". The same thing goes for language online--insulting someone on a forum or making bigoted statement can also land you in hot water with the Staatsawalt.

And the more you earn, the more you pay. Watch your mouth.

I am not big into insulting people, I find it is often counteproductive and there are funnier ways to put someone down.  Or when necessary better to de-esclate an unpleasant situation. But I think the law is more nuanced here than suggested..  So, someone expressing the opinion that what you just said makes you sound like an ignorant cunt.might not be punishible.

Personally, I've been called everything except a Roman ham sandwich, and I'd like to think I'd have more important things to do with my time than go cry to the police because stranger called me a cunt on a forum. As if his opinion really means that much to me.

2. for everyone saying "oh just say sorry etc" - you are spineless.  As one person said - a pregnant woman got kicked off because a bus driver went apeshit and nobody said SHIT. thats you.  thats f'n you.  you coward.

Have a f'n backbone and take the beleidigung

In bavaria there are so  many a**hles and they are getting away with inappropriate behavior because YOU all dont have balls.

Lack of remorse will increase the fine. Seems you deserve it.

Stress: the body's reaction to resisting the mind's desire to tell someone who truly deserves it to go fuck himself.   We were targeted on a train once by a group of those wandering, semi-homeless Bauwagen punks who deliberately provoked my wife and me into insulting them / giving them a smack, whatever.  And they were really, really trying.

We got off at the next available stop, but god, it was difficult to ignore.

OP is fined for insulting a bus driver. OP posts on a forum and people don't agree with him so he insults the people who have replied to him. I think I see a pattern here.

Someone mentioned they wondered how the Police knew who the OP was and it is probably because they are already known to the Police for insulting people in the local area as it seems if people don't agree with his behaviour or what he thinks to be correct he just resorts to name calling and insults.

OP - If you want to fight the decision then you will need to hire a lawyer however you will still need to pay the fine for insulting the bus driver. The best you can hope for is the bus driver gets a telling off/official warning from his employer and you know that you are able to take your dog on the bus in future. A better option might be for you to get some anger management help.

Whilst the OP does not express himself with an élégance or éloquence that will nécessarily endear others to his cause, I do spot an AH bus driver and a peeved passenger with no recourse.

The choice seems to have been to shut up and suck it up or exteriorise and pay a fine. Rock. Hard place. The middle road would have been to stand his ground courteously. Has to be learnt - and is not easy faced with a trog.

Or is that just another label for Anger Management ?

I do feel for bus drivers exposed to charming Joe public and do not think being insulted should be part of their lot. Unless they invite it upon themselves.

When in Rome, act like a Roman ? That included raping your servants and communal shitting back in the day. The Bavarians have clearly made some progress, but have a way to go.

Now there s a bucket full of condescension. Poop bag anyone ?

As idiotic as it seems, the Bus driver has the Hausrecht on the bus in the name of the company.

He can kick you off his bus without a problem for whatever reasons.

Might be true, but I wish bus drivers would concentrate on obeying traffic law and driving/braking smoothly.

OK, then you had the balls to insult the driver and now you deal with the consequences. worst case you’ll be some thousand €€ poorer, that’s a low price to pay for having balls I imagine*

* though next time you can for example 1) write down his name 2) gather one witness if possible 3) deliver a formal complaint. That would also be ballsy and possibly money consuming, but you wouldn’t be obviously and one-sided in the crosshairs.

OP said their dog wasn't sat on the seat, so the dog hair on the seat presumably came from the dog brushing past it, or whatever other reason. Angry bus driver threatened that the OP was no longer allowed to use the bus service. Angry OP broke the law by swearing at the bus driver.

Referring to the link @PandaMunich helpfully posted, it seems the OP's dog is a thing which the OP is entitled to take on the bus as long as it doesn't endanger or otherwise interfere with the bus service. Unfortunately for the OP, the bus driver alone gets to decide what does or does not impact the bus service, and has evidently decided that a dog which loses hairs onto the seats is not going to be allowed.

My guess, as a non-lawyer, is that the OP has no leg to stand on in this case and must roll-over and accept any fine that the police send. If I were in that position I would phone / visit the people who issued the letter and explain the entire situation, but wouldn't expect it to change anything.

If you are going to be very rude to people in a country that loves fines, then make sure you can make a clean get away. I mean really...!

The mind boggles at how much hair the dog must be losing for the driver to have spotted it straight away. Are you sure the dog isn't ill?

Maybe time for an upgrade, to a dog that doesn't shed. ;)

I'd recommend a Yorkshire Terrier.

On my recent trip with the ICE to Koblenz there was a young (9 mth) short-haired dog lying on a blanket on a seat opposite its owner.

Dog didn't say a thing the whole trip (not even "wuf").

Whether the police will take action  presumably depends a lot on who you insult. If it's one of their own, or perhaps even a bus driver then ...

I was chatting to lawyer mate recently and he was telling me that the police in Karlsruhe don't bother anymore with 'ordinary' , 'everyday',  this guy called me a "Wichser" type cases - they've simply got their hands full dealing with shit that matters. If true, it would be an enormous step forward..

a great leap for Germankind.

Or in a white cane and dark glasses and call it a service dog.
