Proper paper ticker on Flixbus?

5 posts in this topic

I am going on my travels soon and sometimes Flixbus offers a better option. I just need to know if I can print my ticker or is it just smart phone only. This is not so stupid a question as is seems. The day will come when no paper ticket will be available.

Looks like it easy to print.  You can book with your computer and you get an email with a QR code that you can scan.  Just like with DB.

Bustickets buchen | FlixBus

Not a stupid question at all.  There are some (Aldi/Tesco and possible other) supermarkets in central London that are experimenting with app only, onlline payment, stores with no tills.   I have also read recently that some supermarkets are checking bills on everyone who has used self checkout.  Making them queue up for this.  Ha.

The self checkout feature in nearby edeka needs one to retain the paper bill after paying, as  the Barcode of the bill should be scanned to get out from the self checkout area.

And quite rightly too, since people have been posting a "money-saving tip" on social media, advising to scan more expensive fruit and veg as potatoes, which are relatively cheap.

I´m all for saving money, but I am not willing to break the law in order to do so!!!

The new shops are different.  No active self scanning.  Just monitors what your remove (and not replace) from shelves.  The app then sends you a bill, after you have left the shop.  Connected to your bank account.
