Luxembourg airport traffic

Hello,

I plan to go to Luxembourg Airport from Mannheim. I found there are two routes:

1. Go to Trier, and take bus 302 to the airport directly.

2. Go to Center Luxembourg and then take bus from city. 

 

I prefer 1, because I don't need to go into the city, and also 2 is a bit detour. However, I have no idea if bus 302 is reliable and punctual. Is there anyone who has experience with 1 route?

Don´t know myself, but this website seems to recommend taking the bus via Kirchberg:

Yes, that is the bus I am checking: bus 302. I am just curious and worried about the reliability of this bus route.

How often does the bus run? Maybe take an earlier one to be safe.
