Forming a "club" in Germany

Hi everyone,

 

I want to form a club (Regarding Recycling Today) in Munich and want to know if anyone reading this knows where one can begin. Who do I need to speak with and begin the process of formalities. Thank you in advance.

You can do this at different levels.

Just being a club (Verein) and calling yourselves that is the simplest. Probably tricky to get your bank to give you an account though

 

 

e.V. (eingetrage Verein) is the more usual. This is a registered club. Registered in the state's list of clubs. For this you need 7 founding members to have a founding meeting and agree on a leader (Vorstand), a list of rules and goals (Satzung). Get a notary to sign off the Satzung and register it with the state list.

Bank will want the eV register number.

 

One up from there is to be Gemeinnützig (socially useful charity). This would allow you to accept donations and in return issue certificates for the doner's tax office.
