Grundsteuerreform

Thanks Snowing, I live in B'burg not Berlin and am amazingly ahead of the neighbours I know here who haven't even started! There was amazingly even a Real Person to ask questions at the end of a telephone if you got desperate.

I think most of the neighbours in the flats are renters; maybe the management company might help. Can but  ask. Perhaps also it might be easier on a proper computer ...

Bah, moan ...!

I have to file a Feststellungserklärung for my Schrebergarten, and have two questions, please.

Question 1:

The garden is comprised of 3 separate neighbouring plots, all purchased at the same time.

Each plot has a separate Flurstück Zähler/Nenner, and a separate Grundbuch Blatt.

To make matters worse, one of the plots is sub-divided into two separate areas with two separate types of use (one = leisure garden, and the other = vineyard).

I've been sent an info letter for only 1 of the 3 plots.

It seems nuts to file separately for all 3 - is this really what we're supposed to do?

Question 2:

Each plot has two sets of entries:

Teiflache 1 (999m2)  -  Zuffenhausen (999/1)

Bodenrichtwertnummer:    999999991

Bodenrichtwert je m²:        35,00 €

---

Bodenrichtwertnummer:    999999992

Bodenrichtwert je m²:        18,00 €

Q: Why are there two sets of land values for each plot?  Which one am I supposed to use in the Feststellungserklärung?

Apart from the Bodenrichtwertnummer, the rest of the values are identical. The land use is identical.

What purpose does having these two distinct land values serve?

I've done it!

All alone!

I am Superwoman!

It is a very fantastic feeling.

We have also done ours. It's like floating on clouds....

My single most useful thing was in fact the 'how to' produced by the state and linked to most helpfully by Panda on another thread. And coming on here to check all the bits that went wrong, like losing the original letter and reading here that the AktenThingy is on other letters, so no panic :D etc etc.

People get so "high" when they manage the Grundstuecksteuererklaerung😃

Perhaps there is no need for the regime to legalise certain "soft drugs", instead you just do your tax return. And later, you might even receive a r€fund!

I used to get that "high"' of relief after going to Confession!!

I hated it, especially since around the age of eight or nine the priest told me to leave and examine my conscience properly. Ever after, I had a made-up list of sins that I would parrot off. I expect lying during a sacrament was a mortal sin ...

Re. the Grundsteuerreform, we received the calculations of the new rateable value. Looks as if we'll end up paying double what  we are now. Jolly.

One had to try to think and describe sins "committed since my last confession", then one was absolved by the priest, and instructed to say Our Fathers and Hail Marys.

Got a bit out of hand in Jueterbog, the monk Tetzel collected so much money, kept it in a big wooden box. People could declare future planned sins before committing them, pay in advance and be forgiven.

Luther revolted, he started The Reformation... ...

Same. More than double the current tax. We have appealed based primarily on the fact that our Gemeinde is quite obviously in the wrong Mietniveaustufe (5). In the whole of Brandenburg there are like 3 Gemeinden that are so highly rated. These are places like Kleinmachnow where property costs significantly more than here. I can't wait to see how this remains cost neutral for the Gemeinden as I have only heard of significant increases. Not one person I have spoken to says theirs went down or even stayed around the same. All of them increased significantly.
