Cannabis legalisation in Germany 2022

19 posts in this topic

One of the Flagship policies of the Ampelkoalition is legalising cannabis!

Seems strange, tobacco smoking is declining, many countries have restrictive laws on that. Is cannabis not usually smoked with tobacco?

In some US States cannabis has been legalised. Typically (?) this seems to be seen as a bu$ine$$ opportunity, but what about possible effects on health?

I first saw it mixed with tobacco in Germany. Never knew why. Seems like a way of making it last longer or something. One can always smoke less.

Like snowingagain said, there some great edibles, etc. out there.

In how many countries is tobacco banned? I know only one country where the sale and smoking of tobacco are banned.

The "restrictive laws" you are talking about are to protect us, non-smokers, from involuntary smoking. These laws apply (or will apply) to marijuana as well.

If you don't allow advertising there will not be any increase of smokers. Other than that, it is more beneficial to consume a drug where you know exactly the percentage of THC, and where the state regulates maximum percentage. In the illegal market you don't know what you get. Imagine buying booze illegally and not knowing if you get a beer or vodka.

Ron DeSantis is trying to ban tobacco in Florida at the mo.

People will just buy it in other states and Florida will lose all the tobacco tax money.

I smoke mine in a pipe when I found pre-made joints were mixed with tobacco.  I quit smoking decades ago and didn't want the habit to return under the guise of pot.

I certainly do not like surprises.  Everything I have tried here has either been so weak it was probably fake, or the other extreme of making me off-my-face crazy.  Not my thing.  Also I really dislike smoking.  I even hated it when I was a smoker which made it easier to give up decades ago.  Bring on the low buzz beer.  Please.

Smoking is declining, in a few decades there will be very few smokers, NZ has very restrictive laws, for example. No smoking on trains in Germany now either.

I smelt tobacco smoke somewhere recently, felt a bit nostalgisch, not even very unpleasant for a moment. What is very unpleasant in confined spaces (9€ train) is perfume. I seem to remember California wanting to legislate to restrict use of perfume in public, very good.

Whenever I leave my office in Harburg ( will be back in three weeks' time ), I smell dope in the air on street corners everywhere! It's that kind of part of town😂

Nostalgic! But my last joint was about thirty years ago! More into age-appropriate vitamin supplements these days!🙁😄

Evening, BethAnnBitt👍👍

Smoking used to be normal on the London Underground... till there was a terrible fire at King's Cross ( in 1987 ?). Smoking was quickly banned... but I can't help remembering soon afterwards being on the Tube and sitting as close as possible to a Rastafarian who had just lit a massive spliff! ( I could hardly wait to get home😂).

A little old lady opposite us actually stood up, came over and said something along the lines of " excuse me, young man. Smoking is no longer allowed on trains."

😂

CBD oil and extracts have benefits, if you can afford them.

Do you take them? What for?  I hope it works for you. We bought some in Austria a few years ago back when there was a real lot of hype for it, stuff was for sale everywhere.  It was an oil, in a highly concentrated form. We took the recommended dosage for a while, but it did not have any noticeable affect, positive or negative.

I saw an interview with a guy saying it helped him with symptoms of Parkinson disease. He said he tried one brand which didn't help. Then tried another more highly concentrated and it helped him a lot.

My neighbors in Florida are taking CBD oil (the kind that doesn't make you high) for chronic pain, and it helps them a lot.

I bought some outrageously expensive tea in exceptional circumstances to sooth the nerves...  my impression was it exacerbated paranoia induced by 48 hours solitary in a police cell. (Which is atrocious, medievally cruel, terrifying torture unworthy of a civilised country... if you are in total shock and do not understand why you are even there. Vive la France.)

Hard to prove one way or another.

I tried them for a bit, just to try and chill and not be so anxious.  Which kind of worked, sometimes, for a bit.  But to be honest I think it was too gentle effect.   Perhaps like 20 percent CBD would work.  But noticed today that a tiny bottle of 10 percent was priced at 50 euros.  I mean, that is mad.

Save your money for stuff you can't do without, like good food and drink!
