Posted 16 June I wonder if there is any issue at all if i mix 5w-30c2 with 5w-30c3 ? I need 6 liter oil, hence need to purchase a 5 liter and a 1 liter.. I also wonder why C3 oil is cheaper than C2 oil (by 1 euro , for a liter bottle).
Posted 16 June I wouldn't even mix oils from different brands and same viscosity, except in emergencies. I would stick to the same oil. C3 is supposed to protect better and C2 is supposed to give better mileage, pick your poison.
Posted 20 June I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I mix stuff all the time. Unless you're driving a high-performance precision track car, there really isn't an issue with what you're suggesting.
