Sledding hills around Munich

6 posts in this topic

Are there any moderate hills/slopes within 2 hours drive from Munich where we can take our 10 and 8 year olds with their snow saucers for some sledding?

Not talking of long sledding runs on which I can find lots of info. I think may of them have 2G or 3G requirements.

Back in California, we used to drive to Lake Tahoe and find a few hills where we even little kids could climb up, mount their saucers and come down (without crashing to the road :D). Anything similar in and around Munich?

You could always try the bottom slopes around Spitzingsee. You can walk up the hill a bit and sledge down. Nothing too exciting though.

Thanks. I know but we want to take things slowly and gradually up the excitement quotient once I know what the kids can handle.

You can also simply go „all the way“ to Theresienwiese 👻.
