TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD!

104 posts in this topic

I bought an ice cream ( chocolate and lemon ) at approximately 15.43 this afternoon and enjoyed it in the park in glorious sunshine whilst my puppy didn't.

Part of a song:

" my dog don't eat ice cream."

" Why not?"

" I don't buy him any."

Erm, that's good, innit?

😎

I normally prefer more expensive wine like Margaux, but I discovered this wine. It is called camembert. It is reasonably priced and tastes amazing. They used to sell it at Rewe, but sadly it is no longer available. However, the entrecote wine is also amazing, that is still available at supermarkets :)

Here is a link to the one I ordered.

On your recommendation I, too, ordered a case of Camembert and was pleasantly surprised. Juicy and full, but not sweet. My only complaint is that the wine seems very volatile. When I open a bottle, half of it evaporates before I can pour a second glass. My wife agrees, smilingly and unsteadily.

Fantastic, if you liked it then try the Entrecote Wine as well which you can buy in Rewe or Kaufland. It is not as sweet but it is suprisingly for the price very very scrumptious.

I've got some good news - if you are the cockroach in question. I thought, having returned to an office with a kitchen after six months' absence, that there would be no cockroaches as there was no food.

Cleaned the kitchen anyway ( well, somebody else did ), bought some elementary stuff, the drawers were clean and put knives and forks and spoons back in there.

Cockroach in there this evening. He/she/it ( not sure about political correctness re gender of cockroaches ( even the good-looking ones ) ).. it survived an attack ( vicious ) by a fork and a spoon and is still alive.

Good news must be spread!

Try diatomite. https://cockroachfacts.com/diatomaceous-earth-roaches/

Eliminating cockroaches doesn’t have to mean using harmful chemicals and putting your family and pets at risk.

Instead, use all-natural, non-toxic diatomaceous earth! Roaches don’t stand a chance against this dust and all you have to do is sprinkle it wherever you’ve seen them. It’s safe, cheap and easy to use!

Thanks, bramble❤️

Just murdered a cockroach ( a good- looking one, mind you ). ( Edit: maybe still alive..)

Attacked him/her/it with a tin opener! That stunned it. Then grabbed a soup spoon and escorted it out of the office and chucked it over the office balcony onto the medieval pathway.

It can join forces with some other good- looking insects out there.

I don't like killing them- I don't get a kick out of it. I just don't want them around me and the puppy.

The way this panned out was that they dilly dallied months over payment. In fact we were down for two engagements... by the time they stumped up they had forgotten we only played one of them. So not only did the restaurant get paid, there was more to spare.

We will not be falling for it again next year, however. They can employ the cacophonous local boys and keep the money in the family...;)

Just came back from the best holiday I ever had. It was a splendid vacation in the sunny South of France. Wonderful food, weather, friendly people and a spectacular landscape. Totally breathtaking.

Wonderful talent. Very impressed... which I say rarely :D... Just a couple of times, less would be more... you are absolutely spot on. You have it in you to go far with this.

Well done. And thank you.
