Maybe I am lucky but I have never had a bad oyster but I can sympathise, on my first visit to the US, following a really lovely meal of clams in Providence RI I ended stuck in the toilet emptying myself from both ends for 2 days, the person with me had the same meal and had no problems! Following that I did not eat any fish for about 5 years.
