So my surprise was large when I read this Guardian article (and forthcoming book) :

Just another piece of history that even we Americans weren't taught in school.

 

I did know about FDR's affair in my hometown. Local gossip and history.

This is scary and starts to help explain as to why there seems to be many problems with the police in the US.

I think it´s been posted on here a few times but all things considered, it´s worth posting again because it´s a perfect example of the US.

 

 

 

I´m not sure how accurate the figures on there are nowadays but after 4 years of Trump and 2 of Biden, oh and the 8 years of Obama and 8 years of Bush and basically any other President since independence I`m willing to bet they haven´t improved much.
