These things happen daily at some place or another. Hundreds are shot every day.

I'm relieved to be home after 2+ weeks in Georgia. Every time I went shopping or in a large restaurant, I was scoping out possible escape routes just in case. Way too stressful for my liking.

I see armed people a lot in the south. They bring their guns to go shopping. Hard to tell who is the nutter when they all are. Many also conceal carry.

Do they also wear a t-shirt with the text „If you pull, pull fast!“ ?

I never heard of that law. Boy, all Wild West for my Dutch ears.

If I go to the US, I will wear my t-shirt „Please don‘t shoot me: I‘m a bloody tourist from Europe.“

I would not put "bloody" on the t-shirt.  Some knuckledragger might notice you are not bleeding and will offer to make the wording accurate.

A school for gifted students in Birmingham, Michigan, has come under fire after a teacher handed out an assignment that featured pictures of primates alongside a photo of former President Barack Obama.

The educator at the Roeper School — which describes itself on its website as “the oldest preschool through grade 12 school for the gifted in the nation” — handed out the assignment earlier this month in a high school biology class, according to Fox 2 in Detroit.

The worksheet asked students to look through the images of various animals and select the ones that were primates. One of those options was Obama, according to images circulating on social media.
