The only place I´ve seen them being strict was in our local doner laden.A couple asked if they could sit down and eat and because he didn´t have his impfpass with him they weren´t allowed to.

Wife went in for her 3 monthly cancer check and I as a begleit person was allowed with her providing I had my impfpass, went to show it on my phone and my phone was dead. They let me in anyway and that was in a hospital.

We have our xmas fest on 4/12 and they informed us that anyone without impfpass or PCR check will 100% not be allowed in.Be interesting to see how that pans out.

Things changed in the Bodensee area about a week ago, with both rules and enforcement getting much stricter, across settings. The Reha also started testing all patients twice weekly.  🙏

I've seen this subject discussed on German TV repeatedly the past few days. They're cracking down on it now due to the hospitals reporting increased admissions in intensive care units lately. I have no words for the stupidity and incompetence displayed (especially by politicians) in recent weeks despite repeated warnings about a 4th wave due to come upon us this autumn, which is here in vengeance now.

I still avoid restaurants, hairdressers, etc. for my own good. My Nachhilfeschüler still have to wear masks at my place, even though they don't have to at school here in NRW anymore. I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm not paranoid, I'm using my common sense. And the 4th wave proves my point.

We can see where we're going to be if we look at Ireland. The weather turned colder in Ireland a month ago. Socialising moved indoors and cases started to explode. Mostly the unvaccinated clogging up hospitals it should be said 70% of hospitalisation cases are unvaccinated. Ireland has 90% of over 12's fully vaccinated too.

Things would be 10 times worse if vaccination rates weren't so high but the experts suspect having a complete cohort (preschool to 11 year olds) completely unvaccinated allows the virus to spread far more easily than if 90% of the entire population was vaccinated as a whole. There is no fire break in the primary schools. Entire classes are susceptible.

We're not going to avoid vaccinating children and personally now I would rather my son gets the vaccine than some random mutation.

Yes I was reading that BaWü will likely reach the Alarmstufe by the end of the week which will trigger more restrictions, amongst them 2G everywhere. I imagine that'll be near enough everywhere pretty soon and they should just get on with it.

Have you noticed that the majority dying in hospital are vaccinated and have an average age of 80 ? According to this:

https://www.hpsc.ie/a-z/respiratory/coronavirus/novelcoronavirus/surveillance/vaccinationstatusweeklyreports/Death%20and%20Vaccination%20Report.pdf

So I wouldn't be too alarmist and if you are young, fit and healthy you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If you have serious comorbidities or are quite old then you should get vaccinated for some short term protection.

The ones most likely to die are still the most medically vulnerable and in the 80 year old cohort the vaccination rate is 99% in Ireland. Giving the vaccine to an 80 year old doesn't turn them into superman. It gives them a far better chance of avoiding death after some dumb fuck "young, fit and healthy" anti-vaxxer infects them though. Also, as Ireland has extremely high vaccination rates thanks to most people not being selfish fucking wankers and caring about older generations, the chances are that most deaths will be in the vaccinated, because almost everyone over 12 is vaccinated.

You don't understand how numbers work. Take a basic course in statistics. Or how viruses work. Take a basic course in virology too. Or better yet, trust the experts who have PhDs and years of experience working in the relevant fields and just get the bloody jab. If you don't want to trust scientists then feel free to unplug your wifi, throw away your phone and PC, get rid of the fridge, sell your car, burn your medicine cabinet...you know what, better just go back to living in a cave.

He can't be bothered to read posts a page back, he isn't going to take any kind of course.

We should be understanding of the covid skeptic group, they were scared of 5G, then 3G, now 2G is stopping them going out. They must be very confused.

I mean what next, LTE making them stay at home...???

Yeah you don't even want to whisper Bluetooth to these snowflakes or they'll fill both trouser legs with one bowel movement.

I am coming round to the wish and hope that 3G should start at your front door and 2G should be an enforced rule in any indoor gathering excluding shops. Also testing should continue not to be free although for  those, who for medical reasons, can not be vaccinated should get it on their health insurance. I am rapidly loosing patience with these anti-vaxxes who are not only endangering themselves but everyone else.

How many more times must we apply hammer to thick skull ? Covid is like Russian Roulette. It takes some people out (or maims) irrespective of their age or level of fitness or vax status. Seems to be a genetic thing. My 97 y.o. MIL, indestructible as she is, had it and recovered with far less aggro than I had. She is quite frail but covid was not gonna be her demise. I repeat Russian Roulette. Nothing to do with young, fit, skinny, whatever... it can still do you serious damage.

I saw a news article over the weekend saying some geneticists had (as far as they say - what is really scary is that I had meant to type scientists, muddled it up and the right click offered me geneticists ) identified a gene that increases your risk of server complication by 50%.

Maybe the virus was created to attack exactly those people.. Or maybe it's just life and random... We all know who thinks what it is..

Went for a swim this morning at the Müller'sches Volksbad, sign on entrance says 2G rules, seems infections in Munich are at stage red which automatically triggers this tightening of the rules.  They checked the certificates on my mobile and my ID very thoroughly. :)

If they continue testing kids in school on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday then closing schools is absolutely avoidable. Testing healthy kids regularly is much safer than relying on vaccinations where they can still catch it and still pass it around.
