ESOP plans for Startups Employees

Dear All,

 

Do you have any  experience about the taxation for core employees granted with an ESOP plan in case of an exit and what would be in Germany (very different from the valley) the concrete benefits that you can claim  (monetary wise) after reaching the cliff period  even before an exit may occur  (and also in case you get fired after reaching the cliff period )?
