Biden's 100-day stock market performance is the hottest going back to the 1950s

Quote

So far in his young presidency, PresidentJoe Bidenhas been one of the best friends the stock market has ever had.

Better, in fact, than any president before him going back to at least the 1950s and the Dwight Eisenhower administration, as the 46th chief executive has witnessed an unprecedented growth on Wall Street in his first 100 days in office as measured from the time of his election.

How long that cozy relationship will last is about to be determined, as investors have to digest a slew of potential obstacles from tax policy, regulations associated withBiden's ambitious climate agenda, and the threat of overheating in an economy already on fire.

But so far, investors have shown no hesitance in making huge bets on corporate America.

"Biden's first 100 days have already delivered the strongest post-election equity returns in at least 75 years, due to record fiscal stimulus and despite heavy use of Executive Orders," JPMorgan Chase strategist John Normand said in a note. The results are "not bad for some [former President Donald] Trump labeled as Sleepy Joe during the campaign."

Indeed, Biden's results have been staggering so far.

The S&P 500 has risen 24.1% since Election Day with numbers that easily trounce any of his predecessors.

The only administration going back to 1953, or the beginning of Eisenhower's term, to rival Biden's were those of John F. Kennedy, who saw an 18.5% rise during the same period.

Even Trump, who often touted how well stocks were doing, saw just an 11.4% rise for the first 100 days.

Here are the comparisons between Biden's approval ratings and Trump's and Obama's for the first 129 days.

Biden still has a way to go before he reaches Obamas, but he's killing Trump's numbers. It never matters what pundits think. It always matters what the people think.

Biden Administration plans to double Canadian lumber tariffs despite prices tripling in the past year.聽 聽

In the note, Fowke accused the White House of being disingenuous when it claims the nation鈥檚 housing affordability crisis is an important priority. Earlier this year, NAHB said that lumber prices, which are triple what they were in April 2020, increased average single-family home construction by nearly $36,000.聽

The Health Insurance industry and its shareholders loved the subsidies from ACA.聽 聽 Luckily most Obama and Biden supporters are not self-employed and are not impacted by forced purchase of terrible, overpriced insurance.聽 聽 In addition, they are not the most financially literate and thus they failed to see a pretty basic corporate giveaway.聽

United Healthcare is not an aberration.聽聽

Well, Biden's closing the gap on Obama just as he's pulling away from Trump. It's like the American populace is happy with him and wasn't with the self-dealing Trump.

What is the source of that poll?

Based on the missteps of the current administration and what i expect in 2022, i am searching for a way to buy some calls on an investment fund which acts as a proxy for the popularity of country music.聽 聽 馃

鈥淎merica is back鈥: Brussels upbeat on eve of Biden鈥檚 Europe trip

Quote

U.S. President Joe Biden鈥檚 trip to Europe this week will signal that multilateralism has survived the Trump years, and set the stage for transatlantic cooperation on challenges from China and Russia to climate change, the chairman of EU summits said.

"America is back," European Council President Charles Michel said, using the motto Biden has adopted after former President Donald Trump pulled Washington out of several multilateral institutions and at one point threatened to walk out of NATO.

"It means that we have again a very strong partner to promote the multilateral approach ... a big difference with the Trump administration," Michel told a group of reporters in Brussels late on Monday.
