Nigerian Embassy website does not work

6 posts in this topic

My girlfriend is trying to take an appointment to make a new Nigerian passport, but the website https://embassyberlin.appointment.ng/ does not work.

When she pressed "Book Appointment" nothing happens. We tried with Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

Does someone know if there's al alternative way to book an appointment with the Nigerian embassy?

Calling does not seem to be a way as they never answer...
Any hint would be appreciated.

The website you linked is not ever going to work, the html code links back to itself when you click on that link. I'm not entirely convinced it's even the correct embassy website (google seems to return many different possible links).

Looking at the html code of the website you linked this particular line really made me pay attention:-

   <img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/bc/Coat_of_arms_of_Nigeria.svg/1208p
x-Coat_of_arms_of_Nigeria.svg.png" style="width: 50px; height: 50px;">

Why would an official embassy website reference a wikipedia link for the coat of arms of the country, which could be edited and changed by anyone at any time?

That is not the website of any Nigerian government department.

It's like when you see hilton.booking.com You are not on hilton's web page you are on booking.com sub section hilton.

Above is appointment.ng subsection embassyberlin

I'm sure appointment.ng is uninterested in passport renewals. They want you to use their service to apply for a Nigerian visa, which will be 10 times as expensive as doing it correctly. Sometimes these visa services are helpful for the profit they make, but are mainly just a scam.

@fraufruitI sort of remember faxes. It's like steam Email?
