Adult ADHD/ADHS Doctor

Hello!

 

I was recently recommended to seek treatment for ADHD/ADHS. I am an adult woman, with a gesetzliche Krankenversicherung. I am specifically looking for English-speaking doctors.  However, while looking for doctors I contacted quite a few, I have found out that all of them are either not comfortable treating a patient in English, have a year-long waiting list or require an initial payment of 100+ Euros (I am a student so this is a bit much for me).  I checked out the other threads on here, but did not find any specific recommendations, other than to Googe, which I have already done quite a bit. I also contacted my Krankenkasse (TK), but they were also unable to provide any recommendations.

 

Does anybody here have some recommendations for doctors? Online consultations would also work for me, if that could provide me with the adequate treatment.

I didn't see this when I was looking recently, but I went to the doctor below and he seems very good, however he only uses German.

I had to answer a huge load of questionnaires taking many hours, which gave me an element of satisfaction that he is doing a pretty comprehensive check of the diagnosis.

and do you recommend the doctor? I can speak a little bit of German. I've tried to get an appointment at a bunch of place, including the one recommended by OP but never had any luck.

Yes I would recommend him. He is pretty thorough with the diagnosis. You get multiple questionnaires which are expected to take 3 to 5 hours. Even then, as he said, ADHD is not something you can just do a blood test for, so it's a matter of balance of probabilities.

Thank you so much. I'll try to get an appointment if possible at all. I've been trying for a year now, I must say It's pretty hard to get one.

Hi.

An update and request on this thread. Can anyone update on potential recomendations based on satisfaction with diagnosis and treatment from any doctors. I speak good German but an English speaker would also be good.
