making a facebook group signage

I want to create a facebook group for the tenants in my building to get to know people and such and stick it on the elevator downstairs. I want to write the following in German:

"Dear Neighbours,

I created a Facebook Group in order for us to get to know each other, sell items, share important information, discuss what is occurring in the building and surrounding area and so on. The name of the Group is..."

I wrote it as the following:

"Liebe Nachbar*innen

How does it sound? Any suggestions on the grammar. My German writing skills are not the best.

Could work if there are a lot of younger people in the building. Though if occupants are very old, they might not have internet let alone facebook.

I know not everyone is on Facebook but I really couldn’t think of anything else as a start. Whatsapp/ Telegram didn’t seem appropriate. I live in a building in Frankfurt consisting of mostly young professionals and families. Not a whole lot from the older generation. In terms of the wording in German, how does it sound?

Sounds fine to me; the German looks great, just the "ich" could be small but that's real Korinthenkackerei.
When you start a group, I seem to think you can generate a QR code for it, which would make it easier for them to connect to it.

Do you talk to your neighbours much? I'd bring it up in person rather than just anonymously - e.g. to the one in the building that you usually see hanging around chatting to everyone. (Is that the same in the west?)

Oh, and you could also check out nebenan.de and see if anyone from your building is already on there.

Thank you! Never noticed the ich being large.  Never thought about the QR code to be honest. Will look into it. I do not see the neighbours at all :(. I was hoping this could serve as a start. If it fails oh well at least I tried. I grew up in eastern Canada so striking up a conversation with any random person young or old has never been an issue for me. People seem to keep to themselves here more. I never heard of nebenan.de. Thank you so much for sharing.

Never. There'll always be words for which you don't know the article.
