Moving to Hamburg with young children

It's important that the kids have some exposure to German - Youtube is free, and you can type maerchen auf deutsch in the search field. There are German fairy tales recited in German, with English subtitles. Watch a tale with the sound off, and read the English to your kids. Then let them watch with the German narration. Repeat. Gradually they'll grasp the sense of the narration and you won't need to narrate that story in English any more.

With children as young as yours, they'll absorb the sounds and patterns, even if they can't actually speak German. They'll pick up a little vocabulary before you reach Germany, and the shock of a new language won't be so great.

Can you take care of your children?

Sure I can but that is not going to beneficial for them in terms of learning the German language so I hope they can get into a creche as soon as possible.
