Influx of Trolls Spewing Their Bile

After having the last thread unceremoniously deleted (there is a "No Name" rule arbitrarily used by some mods), I'll try again. No Names. Maybe a few links though.

 

A lot of us are pretty upset with the influx of Trolls spewing their bile and have joined in a common cause.

 

We feel Toytown should be a relatively safe space and provide information and conversation to Newbies and oldies alike and not have nearly every thread trolled. The Admin seems very lax towards the trolls' hate speech filled, racist and often ugly posts, yet sees fit to remove a thread addressing this alarming problem.

 

 

That was why I started the thread, to help the unaware navigate the growing number of under-bridge dwellers.

At the end of the day, the TT Trolls must be so proud of what they accomplish. To fill life with hatred and become the hated. As frustrating as these people can be, and as hard as it can be at times, you just need to ignore these people. Their behaviour is all based upon attention seeking, which is why the only way to deal with these people is not to give them the attention they want. These are presumably adults who as children didn't get the attention they needed/wanted from their parents and the only time their parents paid any attention to them is when they misbehaved. That's why as adults they behave in a very immature way by name-calling (i.e. Soytown) as the only way they know how to get people to interact with them is by provoking them in a childish way.

 

Every time you see one of these people posting something provoking that annoys you, take a step back, wait 10 minutes before you reply and think about how pathetic and pitiful the life of this person must be in order for them to post the things they do and how unhappy they must be. You shouldn't get angry with these people, you should pity them and once you start pitying them you will find you don't get so annoyed by the things they post and eventually you will ignore them.

Like many others on this site, you seem to define "troll" as "anyone who disagrees with me or my pals on Toytown".

I like to think of this as retreating to the village well and gossips.

Well for one thing, you are always free to ignore Janx. Or me.  

 

The difference between Janx and certain other people on TT is that *he* does NOT perform ridiculous stunts and publish offensive posts/conspiracy theories/any other BS to trigger a reaction, any reaction, from you.

If you two disagree,  he certainly won't hound you all over TT and provoke you with everything he can think of.

People- none of us is wise enough to be a perfect human person. Most people are a mixture of ok on a good day and not ok on a bad day. Some people are truly revolting. I, for example , would not never seek friendship with someone who eg uses the N word to describe black people. Or the “ w.. “ word ( despicable British slang I remember from my younger days )

Can we please be a bit less binary about discussing issues? 
It is not so black and white in the world - too many nuances.

 

First one to admit I am not perfect. Anyone else humble enough to subscribe to that on this thread?
